UCO TO BIO DEISEL PROCESSING UNIT

At our bio production site we collect and refine used cooking oils(uco) and turn the oil into a green bio diesel which can be used in numerous different applications.

The used cooking oil enters the facility and is sieved to remove large particles of food from the oil, the oil is then heated and goes through a filter to remove debris reducing the contaminants down to 400 microns, from here the oil is left to settle to split any water from the oil.

After the oil has settled and the water has been removed it is then put through more heaters and filters making the oil cleaner, before it is chemically altered to be turned into bio diesel.  After the oil has been turned into diesel it is then settled again to remove the glycerine and goes through more heating and filtering to purify the diesel.

Bio diesel is a renewable nontoxic biodegradable alternative to diesel fuel which reduces the amount of carbon monoxide produced by 70%, significant reductions in particulates and other hydrocarbons released into the atmosphere and has virtually no sulphur content.

Along with environmental advantages of biodiesel it can have financial advantages to the user as it has improved engine lubricating properties and extended efficiency for injectors resulting in lower maintenance costs
