PLASTIC FILM PROCESSING UNIT

Our Plastic film processing lines have the capacity to process around 12,000 tonnes per year of polythene packaging waste.

Our film processing line starts with sorting the plastic before it is moved onto a conveyor, from here the plastic will make its way through shredders to reduce the size before going through a wash. During the wash stage the plastic is floated to remove any unwanted contaminants before going on to be dried and extruded.  The plastic is then pelletised and bagged ready to be recycled.

Recycling polythene rather than making more with the core products saves water and energy, reduces the need for crude oil and cuts emissions of sulphur dioxide.
